Cavalli Warlord 2020 is produced from a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Malbec and 16% Petit Verdot, Grapes were hand-picked and sorted in the early morning at Cavalli. The Cabernet Sauvignon was fermented in stainless steel with 3-4 pump-overs daily. The Malbec and Petit Verdot were fermented in small open-top vessels with manual punch-downs 3-5 times daily. Batches were allowed up to 2 weeks of skin contact post-fermentation. After pressing, the wine completed malolactic fermentation in tank. Maturation took place in 225-litre French oak barriques for 22 months (approximately 35% first-fill). Residual sugar: 3.8g/l. Bottled at 14%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Notes of fresh plum, black forest cake and cedar spice.

Palate: Inviting fruit purity with notes of plum, cherry and black currant on entry. Mid-palate is well textured with hints of cassis.

Finish: Soft and with well rounded tannin that complements the balanced acidity. Lingering notes of sweet spice, tobacco and a cigar box
