First released in 2013, this is a small batch release from the folks at Teeling (this whisky would have been distilled at the Cooley distillery). Matured for 5 years in ex-wine casks and then finished for 6 months in ex-rum barrels. This particular batch was bottled in June 2016. Nonchillfiltered and bottled at 46%.
Nose: Notes of spice and fruit along with an underlying sweetness of vanilla, toffee and honey.
Palate: Buttery with cinnamon, dried fruits, notes of oak and tannin.
Finish: Biscuit and vanilla with lingering spice.
