The Prince series was the producer’s first range of sauce-aroma (jiangxiang) baijiu outside the flagship Moutai, introduced in 1999. Golden Prince is made from locally grown glutinous sorghum and wheat, using the traditional sauce-aroma method with a wheat-based qu starter. Each batch takes at least three years from production to bottling: around a year to make the base spirits, more than a year of storage by style, and several months of blending. Bottled at 53%.
