A rare single pot still, single cask Irish whiskey from the Midleton distillery (home of Jameson and Redbreast among others). Distilled in June 1999, matured exclusively in a first fill bourbon cask and only producing 201 bottles. Nonchillfiltered and bottled at cask strength of 56%.
Nose: Delicate rose petal, succulent red bell peppers and a touch of garden mint. Soft vanilla, cedar wood and charred oak.
Palate: Silky and tongue coating with crisp light spices. Vanilla, cinnamon and a hint of clove. Fruit, green bananas and apples. Charred oak complimenting the flinty barley character.
Finish: Lengthy, soft and subtle.
