A bottle of Macallan 12 year old single malt from the 1980s, meaning distilled in the 1970s possibly even the late-1960s. When Macallan assumed the responsibility for their own bottlings from Campbell, Hope & King in 1980, they inherited both an 8 and 12 year old age-statement release, quickly adding a new 10 year old into the mix as well. The 12 year old however was the firm favourite, and is the only one of the three still in production today. Bottled in the 1980s and imported to the American market by Berman Imports. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml)
