Grapes were harvested from 8 year old vines. Due to weather conditions, crop yields were low but the quality higher because the bunches and berries were smaller and hence had greater concentration of flavours. To allow this to shine, there was minimal intervention in the cellar. The wine spent 11 months in French oak barrels of which 24% were 1st-fill, to help with structure of the wine. The rest went into older more neutral barrels, to allow purity of fruit to shine through. Bottled at 12%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Fruit-driven bouquet with notes of red cherry, raspberry and cranberry coming through.

Palate: The fruity flavours from the nose follow through to the palate. Entry has a great concentration of raspberries and cranberry notes. Mid-palate reveals its light body with very soft tannins

Finish: The wine has a refreshing acidity and a savoury, dry herb elegance on the finish.
