The oldest release yet in the heavily-peated Longrow range from Springbank. Matured for 21 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and bottled in October 2019. Only 3,600 bottles were produced. Bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: A rich and meaty smoke, like beef jerky and Iberico ham followed by toffee, salted popcorn and honeydew melon.
Palate: Initially dark forest fruits and prunes, then a rich creaminess, amaretti biscuits and sweet dried coconut. This is balanced with fennel, pine needles and a delicate spiciness.
Finish: A delicious smooth finish with a citrus/orange tang, concluding on a luxurious velvet note with a touch of smoke.
