Harvested from a 45 year old bush-vine heritage block, grapes for the Longridge Maandans Pinotage 2017 were meticulously sorted by hand, before being fermented naturally for 18-20 days and hand-punched. Matured in 50% new and 50% 2nd-fill French oak barrels for ±18 months, with a further 12 months in the bottle. A total of 1,100 bottles were produced. Bottled at 13%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: An array of potpourri notes. Sweet fruits blackberries and dates. Subtle savoury undertones
Palate: Red berries and dark cherries on entry. Subtle Natal orange notes.
Finish: A long lingering rich oak spice finish.
