This 1973 distillation from the now closed Lowland distillery, St. Magdalene, was aged for 30 years before being bottled under one of the distillery's pseudonyms, Linlithgow, for the Diageo Special Releases in 2004.
Linlithgow was the original name of the St. Magdalene distillery for a number of years upon its foundation in the late 18th Century.
One of just 1500 bottles awarded a smashing 92 points from the WhiskyFun critics and comes supplied in great condition complete with original presentation case.
Nose:Crepe suzette, candied tropical fruit, pineapple on the griddle, lemon icing sugar, garden herbs (especially thyme) bon bons.
Palate: Orange fondant, pancakes with runny honey, fresh pineapple, oily and herbal body.
Finish: Fresh and vibrant, lemon and thyme, runny honey, pancakes with tinned orchard fruit in juice.
