A singe malt Scotch whisky by independent bottler and blender That Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC). This 18yo Ledaig, which is the peated whiskies released from the Tobermory distillery, is their 3rd batch from the Island producer, with only 921 bottles produced. Bottled at 51.7%. (500ml)
Nose: Meaty, smoky and earthy and generally yummy. Notes of steak crisps, cooked apple and crushed pepper.
Palate: Smoky peat, leading into yet more peppery warmth. A little bit chocolatey at points, too.
Finish: Almond biscuits, tea leaves and a lasting hint of oak-y caramel.
