Released as a travel retail exclusive, the PX Cask is matured in three different, consecutive types of cask: firstly ex-bourbon barrels, followed by maturation in quarter casks, and then lastly, European oak casks that held Pedro Ximenez sherry. Bottled at 48%. (1 Litre bottle)
Nose: Nice sherry notes of sweet sultanas and raisins with liquorice, marzipan and almonds. The peat is softer than expected.
Palate: Here comes the peat with a massive explosion of smoke filling the mouth accompanied by big notes of oak and the sweeter heavy sherry flavours. A great combination!
Finish: Concentrated peat and thick, sherried oak with a drying finish.
