A single cask release from the Laphroaig distillery in Islay, by family-owned, Scotch whisky distiller, blender and independent bottler Hunter Laing in their First Editions range. Distilled in 2006, matured for 14 years in a sherry butt and bottled in 2021. Only 293 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 58.8%.

Nose: A wonderfully subtle, complex nose with herbal medicinal notes combined with a rich dark fruitiness.

Palate: The Islay peat smoke makes itself known, along with the typical Laphroaig iodine in the background .

Finish: A long warming finish.
