The Flying Fairy (Feitian) label, showing two flying celestial figures, was introduced in 1958 for export markets and is now the brand’s best-known presentation. It is made from locally grown glutinous sorghum and wheat in the Chishui River basin. Over a one-year production cycle, the grain is steamed nine times, fermented eight times and distilled seven times. The spirit then spends several years in clay jars before blending, a process that takes around five years from grain to bottle. Bottled at 53%.
