Launched in 2020, this limited annual core release is the oldest release to date from the Glengyle distillery, owned and operated by Springbank. Matured for 16 years predominantly in bourbon casks before being bottled on 5 October 2020. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Herbal and citrus before opening up to brighter and zestier notes with orange peel and tart lemon meringue pie. Creamy and nutty with pineapple. A fleeting briny component reminds you that this is definitely a Campbeltown single malt.

Palate: Layers of complex flavours. Malt notes with soft dry peat smoke, herbs, black pepper and tones of sandalwood and beeswax. Fragrant aniseed, which also lends a waxy texture.

Finish: Dry and ashy peat smoke continues along with the coastal brine. Bright and complex whisky that is not overly sweet from the bourbon cask. It is fragrant, grassy and gently peated.
