The 2019 limited release Kilchoman was matured in fresh red wine casks, that were then shaved, toasted and re-charred (STR). A total of 43 casks were filled in 2012 bottled in 2019, resulting in 14,500 bottles produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 50%.
Nose: Summer fruits with a hearty measure of cinnamon spice, toffee and gentle peat smoke.
Palate: Soft caramel at first with layers of red berries, lemon tart and earthy peat smoke.
Finish: Long with a pronounced spice, honey and caramel notes.
