He took over the family farm in 2010, after working as a winemaker at Warwick. The grapes come from the farm’s sloping granitic vineyards. They are given extended skin contact for added texture, then fermented with natural yeasts in older oak barrels. The result is a rounder, more textured Sauvignon Blanc than the typical tank-fermented style, with tropical fruit, fresh acidity and a mineral edge. Bottled at 12.5%.
