The latest release from Jim Beam available in SA is matured in charred virgin oak, American barrels (like all good bourbons must be by law) and thereafter transferred to another barrel of the same composition to impart further flavour. Bottled at 43%.
Nose: Rich notes of caramel and vanilla with hints of toasted wood.
Palate: Intense caramel and toffee with a distinctive spiced oakiness.
Finish: Lots of warm oak with a spicy finish.
