Hyde No. 3 is a blended Irish whiskey, comprised of 8yo single grain (75%) and 18yo single malt (25%) married for 9 months in toasted, ex-Oloros sherry casks. As is common nowadays for several Irish whisky brands, Hyde do not have their own distillery, but source their whisky from other Irish producers (in this case, Cooley). Only 5,000 bottles produced, bottled in January 2018. Nonchillfiltered and bottled at 46%.
Nose: Floral notes of vanilla, sweet, honey, caramel, chocolate, and mixed fruit, infused with spices.
Palate: Smooth and complex with creamy fruity notes, caramel, honey, apricot, and apple.
Finish: Linger richness with oak.
