A single cask release from the Glenrothes distillery in Speyside, bottled by Douglas Laing under their Old Particular (OLP) range. Distilled in February 2005, matured for 14 years in a sherry butt and bottled in April 2019. Only 476 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 48.4%. (Bottle size 500ml)
Nose: Shows still warm, gently burnt fruitcake and biscuit, beyond distinct sherry.
Palate: Opens gingery with warm spices ahead of barley, raisins and muscovado sugar.
Finish: Shows some early tobacco, molasses, sultanas, spice and late toasted oak.
