The Glendalough 7yo Black Pitts Porter Finish was made by double distilling roasted chocolate malt barley and then initially in ex-bourbon casks before it was finished for 12 months in porter beer barrels from the 5 Lamps Brewery in Dublin. Bottled at 46%.
Nose: Sweet with toffee apples, chocolate and vanilla ice cream.
Palate: Smooth with dark chocolate orange, cocoa, toffee and cooked fruit, followed by clove and peppery spices.
Finish: Long and spicy with toasted oak, treacle and sweet coffee notes.
