Released in 2015 as part of the redesigned range, the Double Cask is finished in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, followed by a second finishing period in ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Bottled at 46%.
Nose: Sweet with creme caramel, caramelised fruit, wood sugar, toffee and fudge before some apple and peach emerge.
Palate: Again with the sweet start, followed by a little tongue-tingling mint buzz and the drying and oily distillery character.
Finish: A warm finish of ginger, chocolate and sherry notes.
