A rare single grain bottled by independent bottlers Douglas Laing in their XOP range. Produced at the Garnheath distillery, which closed in 1986. Matured for 42 years in a single refill barrel. Only 75 bottles produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a natural cask strength of 50.7%.
Nose: Opens with a richly spiced character, warming to toffee with creamy butterscotch plus maple syrup.
Palate: Complex - an abundance of vanilla, mouth coating sweet character with milk chocolate and spicy caramel.
Finish: The spicy sweetness lingers on the medium to long finish with spun caramel and sugar coated orange zest.
