Egan’s Whiskey is an old Irish brand from Tullamore that has been resurrected by the descendants of Patrick Egan, who first founded the brand over 150 years ago. Although the whiskey is sourced from an undisclosed Irish distillery, the final product is made unique through secondary cask finishing and select batching.
Launched in late-2019 and named to commemorate 100 years since the passing of Egan's co-founder, this special edition release is a blend of selected single malt and single grain Irish whiskey. Initially matured in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in XO cognac French limousin oak casks. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Floral notes and accents of honey and apricot.
Palate: Light wafers, almond, ginger, and zesty fruits.
Finish: Long and gentle, with the ginger notes giving way to lemon zest and liquorice.
