Grapes for the Damascene Swartland Syrah 2021 were harvested from 3 disparate vineyards across the Swartland: predominantly from the Kasteelberg, with vineyards at an altitude of about 340m; smaller portions from bush vines in the foothills of the Paardeberg; and from the Malmesbury shale soils of Leeuwenkuil. 75% whole-bunch fermentation. Native fermented in conical concrete, and then into Stockinger for 11 months. Bottled at 13%. (Bottle size 750ml)
