The Compass Box Spice Tree Extravaganza is a limited edition of only 12,240 bottles, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the original (and subsequently banned) release of the standard Spice Tree. It is composed of "older components and a significant portion of sherry-cask aged malt whisky", and includes malt whiskies from Glen Ord, Benrinnes, Allt-a-Bhainne, Clynelish, Dailuaine and Teaninich. Nonchillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%.
Nose: Sherry wine, dark berries and the fragrant sweetness of traditional sweet shops with soft spices.
Palate: Juicy red fruit, a dark brown sugar richness, the trademark Spice Tree ginger and clove spice characters but set within a richer, more elegant frame and a greater depth of flavour and complexity.
Finish: A long, spicy and substantial finish.
