Cape Point Isliedh 2017 is produced from a blend of 76% Sauvignon Blanc and 24% Semillon grape varietals. Grapes were selected from site-specific blocks of the picturesque sea-facing Noordhoek slopes from the Peninsulas southern-most vineyards. The grapes were harvested between 22°B and 24°B in the early hours of the morning and were all hand-picked. Whole bunch pressed with no skin contact and settled for 8 hours. The Sauvignon Blanc component was barrel fermented in 600-litre French oak (40% new) and the Sémillon component in clay amphora pots according to ancient tradition. 10 months barrel ageing on gross lees, followed by 5 months in stainless steel. Bottled at 14%. (Bottle size 750ml)
