A single cask release from an undisclosed distillery in Speyside, bottled by Adelphi independent bottlers. Distilled in 2006, matured for 11 years in a refill Oloroso sherry cask and bottled in 2020*. Only 621 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at a natural strength of 56.8%.
Nose: Crème caramel, strawberry ice cream, banana fritters with tinned litchis.
Palate: Digestive biscuits, chocolate custard and tropical fruit sweetness, with hints of berry jam.
Finish: Mint chocolate, blackcurrants and warm banana bread.
*Yes, if you do the math this doesn't seem right, but Adelphi has confirmed these details; on rare occasions whisky is emptied from the cask but not bottled immediately.
