Besserat de Bellefon Rose Brut NV Champagne cuvee is produced from 50% Pinot Meunier, 25% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir grape varietals. Cellarmaster, Cédric Thiébault, sources the grapes from the best villages of Champagne, including: Three Grand Crus: Avize, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Louvois;  Five Premier Crus: Bisseuil, Vertus, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Grauves and Cumières; and 11% red wines from: Bouzy, Les Riceys and Vincelles This cuvee is the fruit of a unique and very specific method of champagne making that has been perpetuated by Besserat de Bellefon since 1930. This consists of adding less “liqueur de tirage” (a mix of sugar, yeast and must) at the moment of bottling which creates a lighter, more diaphanous formation of effervescence. A distinctive feature of this Rose Brut is the absence of malolactic fermentation. Aged for a minimum of 3 years on lees and a minimum of six months after disgorgement. Residual sugar: 9g/l. Bottled at 12.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Generous, intense and refined, studded with small red berries, with notes of redcurrant jelly and sweet almond.

Palate: The Rose Brut cuvee is a celebration in the mouth. Delicate and gossamer light, its robe of pink muslin is like a sensual embrace.

Finish: Mouth-watering, bright and lightly spicy.
