A single cask release from the Speyside Benrinnes distillery bottled by Adelphi independent bottlers. Distilled in 2009, matured for 11 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead and bottled in 2020. Only 321 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.8%.
Nose: Rich aromas of sultanas, kirsch, dark chocolate, and bread and butter pudding with homemade marmalade, with a spine of oily rags and cordite.
Palate: Chocolate coated pretzels, Black Forest gateau and beef jus. A Canadian breakfast of maple syrup, buttery pancakes and smoked bacon.
Finish: A lengthy finish with a hint of struck match in the background.
