At the end of the 1800s, three distilleries were established in the city of Fort William. Glenlochy, created in 1898 and closed in 1983, Nevis Distillery created in 1878, which will work only a few years and, of course, Ben Nevis still in activity. By its oxidative exacerbated character, this version symbolizes from the first moments the particular style of Ben Nevis. Hating the half-measures, she draws the quintessence of each note from its aromatic palette and taste. Particularly lush, the mid-palate is a perfect illustration.
Profile: original, the first nose is both oxidative and exotic (pineapple, mango), it evokes a yellow wine Jura. After aeration, citrus fruits (lemon) and verbena refresh the aromatic palette. Lively, the attack on the palate is honeyed and fruity (apricot). The exotic finish also reveals spices (cloves) which stand out even more frankly in the glass. Single Cask No. 2375 - Sherry Butt
