Ballechin is the name of the heavily-peated whisky produced at the Edradour distillery. This release is a WhiskyBrother exclusive that we selected. Distilled on 8 March 2004 and bottled on 22 May 2018. Fully matured in a single first-fill, ex-bourbon barrel (200L). Only 191 bottles. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at cask strength of 52.5%.
Nose: Toasted coconut marshmallows, stewed sweet apples. A very savoury style whisky.
Palate: Sandalwood, saddle leather and peat. Rich and complex with vanilla and coconut.
Finish: Long and warming.
