Amari (from African-Yoruba origins meaning strength) Lush MCC 2014 is made using Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varietals from vineyards in the Western Cape. Made as a traditional Methode Cap Classique. Grapes are harvested and crushed, and after fermentation the base wine is made. For the secondary fermentation, it is bottled and then topped up with sugar and yeast. It is left in bottle for 7 years on the lees. After disgorgement it is dosed to bring the residual sugar to 33g/l. Bottled at 11.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: lovely sweet summer fruit character of peach and nectarines with a touch of honey suckle.

Palate: Candied citrus notes on entry as well as notes of grilled peaches. Lovely creamy rich mid-palate weight.

Finish: Refreshing moose (bubbles) with lingering soft notes of honey and sweet baking spices.
