A single cask release from the Allt-A-Bhainne distillery in Speyside, launched as part of the Small Batch Bottlers Scotland range from The Distiller's Art independent bottlers, where limited-edition single casks are selected by CEO and whisky curator George Thomson. Distilled in 2000 and matured in an ex-sherry hogshead. 224 bottles were produced, each individually numbered. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 58.1%.
Nose: A hint of subtle peatiness, slightly woody with almonds coming through and a hint madeira sweetness while teasing some citrus notes in the background.
Palate: A sweet, malty, biscuit flavour with hints of toffee, vanilla.
Finish: A smooth and refreshing finish. Beautifully clean, lingering long on the palate.
