Job Opening: Digital Presence Administrator

POSITION TITLE: Digital Presence Administrator
POSITION LEVEL: Junior
REPORTS TO: Marc Pendlebury, Commercial Director
REMUNERATION: Provided on request

OVERVIEW

This individual will be responsible for administrating WhiskyBrother's digital presence, across all channels, specifically the WhiskyBrother website, Social Media accounts and any digital marketing campaigns.

As a growing business, this will be our first full-time, permanent position for any marketing and website staff. There will be lots of opportunity for this employee to advance and make a career of this position, if they have the correct drive and capabilities. This position will require the employee to be aware of various aspects of the business (retail store, bar, The Only Whisky Show, events, promotions), as everything we do should be reflected and shared online.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Website Administration
  2. Social Media Engagement
  3. Marketing Campaign Management

1. WEBSITE ADMINISTRATION

  • Listing of new products, including images, overview, tasting notes
  • Creation of product collections
  • Management of blog
  • Front-page content (sliders, collections, product highlights, newsletter sign-up)
  • Maintenance of shop, bar and show pages
  • Website navigation and controls

2. SOCIAL MEDIA ENGAGEMENT

  • Responsible for shop, bar and show Social Media accounts
  • Frequent posting across all channels (currently: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook)
  • Engagement with customers, responses to queries
  • Content creation

3. MARKETING CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

  • Weekly newsletter creation
  • Running of online campaigns to promote products and brand
  • Administration and coordination with brands to
  • Oversight and influence of digital adspend
  • Monthly reports

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tertiary degree in related field (marketing and/or IT)
  • Photo editing software skills (Photoshop or similar)
  • Social media experience
  • Computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office
  • 2-4 years work experience
  • Digital content creation experience
  • Ability to write and communicate clearly

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • A computer will be provided
  • Since we do not have dedicated offices (yet), employee will be required to work on site from the shop and bar
  • An interest in whisky would be highly recommended, but training will be provided where needed
  • As per all WB placements, new staff have a 3-month probationary period in order to certify correct skills and personality fit
