Testalonga Baby Bandito Keep On Punching 2022 is made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes. The vines used for this wine were planted in 1961, a 4ha block of dry land bush-vines (un-trellised vines) on sandstone soils on the foothills of the Piketberg in Swartland and is farmed organically. Grapes are hand harvested and whole bunch pressed into 3,500-litre old Foudre and 2,000-litre stainless steel tanks for fermentation and maturation. Ambient (the juice/ wine is not cooled) and 100% wild/natural fermentation (no added yeast strains). To assist in softening the acidity and help build texture, the wine was allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation. No additives were added apart from a small amount of SO2 shortly before bottling. A clarifying filtration was done, not fined. Bottled at 12%. (Bottle size 750ml)

“Keep on Punching” is an expression Prof Lyal White (photographer of King of Grapes label), used to always say when the going got tough: “Keep on punching, the head will fall”.
