Grapes for this Chardonnay were hand-picked in the last week of January. Fermentation occurred in a 2nd-fill French oak barrel and was allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation, which took approximately 8 days at 15°C. Matured for 10 months in a selection of French oak casks. Bottled at 13%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Predominantly led by citrus notes like orange blossom and lemon peel. Hints of tropical fruit such as pineapple and a bit of a creamy nutty note.
Palate: Refreshing notes of oranges and pineapples on entry. On the mid-palate the wine reveals subtle nuances of baked goods and honeycomb.
Finish: Beautiful acidity on the finish with lingering almond notes.
