Beaumont New Baby 2019 is produced from a blend of the five white grape varietals on the farm: 30.5% Chenin Blanc, 19.5% Sauvignon Blanc, 19.5% Semillon, 19.5% Colombar and 11% Chardonnay. Harvested at 21°-22.5° Balling from vineyards aged between 19 and 46 years, with an average yield of 3-5 tons/ha. All cultivars were treated independently and then blended very soon after harvest to get integration as early as possible. All naturally fermented in barrel with about 30% new oak. Matured for 12 months in 400-litre French oak of which 30% was new. Bottled at 13%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Ripe summer fruits like peach, cantaloupe and Asian pear. Hints of orange blossom, honey and sweet baking spices.

Palate: Fruit forward on entry with notes of peach, nectarines and pear shining through. Lovely silky palate weight. Mid-palate has subtle dusty oil character.

Finish: Refreshing acidity with a lovely salinity and minerality.
