Grapes for the Kumusha Sondagskloof Sauvignon Blanc 2022 were hand-picked in the early morning, pressed and the juice racked into settling tanks. Fermentation and maturation on the lees for 6 months in stainless steel. A 10% naturally fermented oak matured component added to final blend before bottling at 12.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Aromas of melon and passion fruit, fynbos and buchu, with citrus undertones.
Palate: Beautiful fruit follows through from the nose, with notes of passion fruit and fynbos shining through. The wine also has a real presence on the palate in terms of texture.
Finish: Refreshing acidity with hints of citrus fruit coming through. The Sondagskloof region, which forms part of the Cape South Coast, lends a beautiful flinty minerality.
