Grapes were harvested on 11 February 2019 from vines planted in 2009 and 2011. Inoculated with selected yeast strains from Burgundy, France. Primary fermentation in open fermenters with manual punch-downs at 22-28°C. After 8 days skin contact; pressed directly to foudre, 3rd-fill, and one new 300-litre French oak barrel where malolactic fermentation completed naturally. Matured for 10 months in French oak. A total of 4,617 bottles were produced. Bottled on 27 January 2020 at 14%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: A fresh Pinot Noir with a bouquet of red cherry and raspberry. Subtle hints of pine needle cedar.

Palate: Bright red fruit on entry, complimented with a light elegant body structure and hints of earthy notes on the mid-palate.

Finish: Soft with lingering mix of mushrooms and raspberries. Delivering an umami effect on finish.
