Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé 2023 is a celebrated wine from the Provence region of France, known for its elegance and refined taste. The wine is produced at Château Miraval, an estate located in the village of Correns, which is renowned for being the first fully organic village in France. The production of Miraval Rosé is a meticulous process that begins with the careful selection of grapes. The vineyard spans 600 hectares and is managed organically under the guidance of the Perrin family, who are esteemed winemakers from the Rhône Valley. The grapes used in Miraval Rosé include Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, and Rolle, which are harvested at optimal ripeness, typically in the early morning to preserve their freshness. The Cinsault and Garnache varieties are directly pressed while the Syrah variety is vinified separately using the drawing off method. Most of the fermentation happens in stainless steel tanks and a small portion in barrels to add complexity. Bottled at 12.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: A vibrant bouquet of fresh fruit, including strawberries and raspberries, complemented by floral notes and a hint of citrus.
Palate: On the palate, it offers a rich and balanced texture with a refreshing acidity and minerality.
Finish: A long, elegant finish.
Château Miraval gained significant attention when it was purchased by Hollywood actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in 2011. The estate has since been managed in collaboration with the Perrin family, who oversee the winemaking process and ensure the highest standards of quality. Despite the high-profile ownership, the focus remains on producing exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of Provence.
