The Mackenzie 2016 consists of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec. This limited volume wine represents a single vineyard block where Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes grow side by side in deep red Tukulu soil. Each cultivar underwent malolactic fermentation separately in 100% new French oak. Matured for 20 months in 80% new French oak, 20% in 2nd-fill. Bottled at 14%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Cedary oak, classic cigar box and wood spice aromatics on the bouquet.

Palate: The palate reveals dark fruits, plums, chocolate and cassis.

Finish: Succulent, plush, yet elegant mouth-feel with fine, dry, and lingering tannins.
