The seventh limited edition in Glenmorangie's Bond House No.1 series, named after an old warehouse from the 19th century, which now serves as the still house for the distillery. Distilled in 1997, matured initially for 10 years in ex-bourbon casks before spending the next 13 years in Château Montrose red wine casks, from Saint-Estèphein Bordeaux, and bottled in 2021. Bottled at 43%.
Nose: Perfumed and filled with fruity complexity. Soft notes of rose, jasmine and carnation entwine with ripe red fruits, mint toffee, cake mix and candied top notes.
Palate: Spice tingles with candy-sweets and more soft red fruits. Pineapple, pears and mandarin pieces in jelly. Then ginger and sweet chilli return with almond marzipan and vanilla toffee apples.
Finish: Long and rich, with a final suggestion of sugared sweetness and the soft hint of spice.
