A single cask release from South African distillery Boplaas and their first single malt whisky. Distilled from imported Scottish peated malt, matured in a combination of 3rd and 4th-fill ex-bourbon barrels for 5 years and then finished in Groot Constantia’s Grand Constance late harvest barrel for 18 months. Only 500 bottles were produced, each individually numbered and signed by Daniel Nel. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: An inviting and complex aroma of sweet peat-smoke. The subtle smokiness is balanced by delicate notes of fruitiness, with a pleasant hint of white peach and a refreshing citrus tang.

Palate: A delightful array of flavours. The peat is well-balanced and perfectly complemented by the sweet and fruity notes of white peach and citrus. The palate is further enriched with the complex flavours of dried and candied fruits.

Finish: The long and lingering finish of this whisky is a true delight. As the flavours of the palate begin to fade, the oak spiciness emerges, adding a warm and comforting note to the overall taste. The finish is smooth and elegant, with a perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness.
