A single cask release from the Mortlach distillery in Speyside, bottled by Adelphi independent bottlers. Distilled in 2003, matured for 17 years in a refill sherry hogshead and bottled in 2021. Only 267 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at a natural cask strength of 55.5%.
Nose: Cooked pears with plums, blackberry confit and golden sultanas. Demerara sugar, damson fruit, freshly opened wine gum bag along with peaches and tinned fruit salad.
Palate: Sesame seed brittles, walnut, granola and flap jacks, salted pecans, peach melba and Canadian French toast with maple syrup.
Finish: Long and smooth.
