Following on the from great success of the Valhalla Collection (which sadly was never available in SA), the Highland Park Ice Edition is the limited release for 2016. It is a 17yo whisky predominately matured in ex-bourbon casks that had virgin American oak cask ends fitted. 30,000 bottles produced with each one presented in a mountain shaped cradle made from oak. Bottled at 53.9%.

Nose: Fresh pineapple and ripe mango sorbet, with whisps of smoke and root ginger.

Palate: Soft peat smoke with vanilla seeds and overtones of molten orris root.

Finish: Beautifully balanced with a creamy and rich, oily finish. Lingering and drying oak, with spices to savour.
