This Jameson release is the exact same liquid in the bottle as the Select Reserve, but depending on the country different labels are available. In some countries it's even called Select Reserve Black Barrel! In South Africa, the Select Reserve variant is the one available in our market. (Bottle size 1 litre)

The term Black Barrel is used because part of the whisky is matured in 1st-fill bourbon casks that are heavily charred and thus become black on the inside and give more cask influence.

Nose: Fruity with characters of apricot, kumquat, and fruit cake. A hint of bitter, dark chocolate and truffles.

Palate: Spice and dried fruits, mixed peel, apricots, marshmallow, butterscotch and burnt caramel

Finish: A spicy, bitter chocolate finish.
