The Bunnahabhain distillery is equipped with six washbacks in Oregon pine and four stills that are among the largest in Scotland (with Glenmorangie and Jura). Particularly rich, this venerable version highlights the magnificence of its aging sherry cask, and immerses us in a universe full of exuberance, both lush, exotic, floral, balsamic and spicy. Beautiful notes of precious wood and encaustic embellish a palette aromatic and gustatory complex, suave and patinée.
Profile: voluptuous, the first nose is marked by emery cloth, heady flowers (purple lilac), cocoa beans. After aeration, it becomes fruity (orange, passion) and spicy. Suave, the attack on the palate oscillates between the candy of the Vosges, dark chocolate and dried fruits (date). Fluffy, the finish is in turn exotic (guava) and resinous (pine, eucalyptus) .Single Cask # 9521 - Sherry Butt
