Crafted from low-yielding, hand-harvested Portuguese grape varietals, Tinta Barocca (85%) and Touriga Nacional (15%). Boplaas Cape Tawny Vintners Reserve Bin 1880 Port combines wines that have spent a minimum of 10 years in old 475-litre port pipe barrels. Bottled at 18.5%. (Bottle size 375ml)

Nose: An array of aromatics of bright wood spice, brandy soaked cherries and prunes; walnut, roast pecan nuts, almond, sticky treacle, salted caramel, bitter orange marmalade, eucalyptus honey and hints of vanilla, Madeira sugar and the defining rancio notes of a fine Tawny.

Palate: The palate is luscious, complex and lingering.

Finish: A lilt of acidity and dry edge to the finish making for a pleasurable experience.
