Launched in 2021, this is the first in BenRiach's new annual Malting Season series. Produced with Concerto barley that was floor-malted at the distillery; the first time in 100 years that the distillery has released a peated whisky from barley malted on-site. Distilled on 2 November 2012, matured in ex-bourbon and virgin oak barrels and bottled in 2021. A total of 6,672 bottles were produced. Bottled at 48.7%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Richly aromatic with barley sugar, almond fudge and poached orchard apple.
Palate: Smooth and rounded with vanilla and honeyed pear, with the lasting nuttiness of slowly kilned malt.
Finish: Long and luxurious with a lasting nuttiness from the slowly kilned malt,
