Despite the Littlemill distillery closing in 1994 and burning down in 2004, owners Loch Lomond have been releasing some limited stock every year. Littlemill Testament is the oldest Littlemill release to date with the liquid taken from a single distillation date of 4th October 1976. Re-casked in 1996 from their original casks and into American oak hogsheads, Master Blender Michael Henry selected three from these, vatting them together into two first-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads for a further 4 month maturation before vatting together for a final two months prior to bottling on 8 December 2020. Only 250 bottles were produced, each individually numbered.

Beautifully presented, the decanter stopper is made from natural sandstone salvaged from the remains of Littlemill distillery. On the reverse of the metal card, cut from a stave taken from the Littlemill barrel, you will find a unique code, allowing you to claim a sample of this rare liquid if you would prefer to maintain the integrity of the bottle.

Nose: Crisp green apple and zesty grapefruit with fragrant elderflower and ginger.

Palate: Fresh, vibrant fruit, tangy pineapple and juicy peach with lime citrus. There is a melted brown sugar sweetness, some dried peel and creamy vanilla.

Finish: Long with mouth watering fruit, gooseberry and water melon, gently warming cinnamon and nutmeg spice.
